Oslo Climbing Park was founded on 01.12.2014. This was a result of some people's targeted vision to create an active meeting point for all ages, in Groruddalen, Oslo.
We will base our values on being tolerant, including, available, engaging and innovative.
The goal of Oslo Climbing Park is to contribute to a healthier and more active lifestyle and a more exciting weekday for all, where one can test and develop their skill and abilities.
Our park will have challenges on all levels, so that everyone regardless of their preconditions can experience mastery and enjoyment in being physically active.
In the long run, we are aiming to offer and establish additional activities.
Oslo Climbing Park wishes all new and old customers a warm welcome! We look forward to seeing you.
Motor development is the change in motor behavior over time. Children learn new movements and improve the movements they have already learned, which is a process that happens over several phases. The more time the child gets to practice a skill, the more the skill evolves from being roughly coordinated to nicely coordinated. After a lot of practice, the skill gets automated, so that the child is able to do something else at the same time. The quality of the motor development is influenced by the environment - both physical and human factors - will have an impact.

Climbing as an activity is mainly based around play orientation. You can achieve development of versatile motor skills such as coordination, balance, strength, eye-feet-hand coordination and agility in a way that few other activities can.
Climbing in tree-top climbing courses gives a wonderful experience and good feeling of accomplishment. The courses have different levels of difficulty and heights. As your confidence rises, obstacles you first found to be impossible will soon feel more achievable. When the day is over you are left with a feeling of pushing your own limits.
The courses are ranging from 0.6 to 14 meters up in the trees, you start at the lower levels and work yourself up to the higher ones. At the end of each course you land on the ground, and you can choose which course to do next. The guests are fitted with a helmet and a harness with two carabiner hooks and a zipline-tool.
The basic elements of an obstacle is a connection between two trees with multiple steel wires, where one of them functions as a safety wire which you are connected to. The steel wire is installed in a way that puts the bark and trees out of harm's way.
The activity itself consists of getting from tree to tree using various techniques such as walking, crawling, jumping, balancing, swinging (Tarzan jump), rolling etc. The start of an obstacle starts from a platform that encircles the tree and acts as a resting place between the various obstacles. The platforms are attached to the tree in the same way as wire without damaging the bark or wood.
You will find many Ziplines in the park. A Zipline is a steel cable that you connect to with a zipline-tool and drive through the air to a "landing place".
